TheJazz Orchestra is the most senior of the 3 stage bands. All three bands entertained parents at the Dinner Dance in September Welcome to the Band page of the Manly P & C association. The band program at Manly Selective Campus is organised into four streams:
The concert stream has three bands, graded from lowest to highest as Concert Band, Wind Ensemble and Symphonic Wind Orchestra. In the stage band stream, the corresponding grades are the Stage Band, Big Band and Jazz Orchestra. In the improvisation stream, the S-Jazz and I-Jazz are performance groups and the ImproShop introduces students to the world of improvisation. The Chamber String Ensemble is a stream in its own right. What's OnThe band committee wishes departing students and parents all the best for the future and looks forward to welcoming new and returning band members in the new school year. Auditions for new band members in year 7 will be held on February 14; those for returning band members and String Ensemble musicians will be held on February 7 and 8. More information will be available early in term 1. Please feel free to Email the band with any questions or suggestions
