Welcome to the Manly High School Alumni Site

The alumni was established towards the end of 2007 as a joint initiative between the P&C and the school. It is the association of which all students, past, present and future can feel proud and which cements the identity of the school beyond the actual years of schooling.

The first ever alumni event for our school took place on April 6th and was a great success with many hundreds of ex students coming up to the school to relive memories, either long term or relatively recent, renew acquaintances or simply enjoy the food, displays and music of our students.

The displays of old photographs and archival material were very popular with many people recognizing faces of old and noting how sparse the grounds of the school once were. The original Punishment Books were of huge interest, especially if names were recognized for getting multiple cuts of the cane or slaps!

One of the highlights of this initial alumni event was to see current students identifying with the history of their school and having a personal appreciation of its past.

On the day a very warm welcome was extended to past students from as far back as the 1940s and 1950s, filling the gap between our present school and the proud tradition of the past. As the school matures as an academic institution of high achievement, it owes a great deal to past students and an obligation to provide a vehicle for maintaining these links.

Over the years, Manly Selective Campus, as it is now known, has experienced a few name changes from Manly Public School way back in 1859 to Manly Junior High, then Manly Boys which later become co-educational and finally to its present form as Manly Selective Campus. There have also been some location changes; the last move was in 1954 to the current site in Abbott Road, North Curl Curl.
